This is the first time Bong Jake, Bong Nadia, Bong Austin, Bong Michelle and I have traveled together. None the less, we are a pretty great group of people who want to do and see everything. None of us had been to Koh Rong before so it was an adventure for all. Then again, living in Cambodia, a day does not go by without it being an adventure.
Day One: Wednesday, November 5
The 3PM boat didn't leave till 4:30PM. We finally arrived at our destination in time to see the sunset at 5:30PM.
Day Two: Thursday, November 6
Day Three: Friday, November 7
It was a good thing we paid a dollar and took a kid because there was no way we could have found those waterfalls. We did not really cross a river. It was more like a swamp that went waist deep and was muddy.
After arriving to the bus station, we were told the bus was fully booked despite the fact that we had bus tickets. In Cambodia, you are sold returning tickets that do not indicate a specific time or date. We were not aware that we had to book our seats in advance to guarantee ourselves a spot. With only one open spot on the bus, Bong Austin did some talking and managed to grab us three seats. Two of us would sit in the cargo hold while the other three got seats.
It is amazing to see such a vast amount of beauty in such a small country. From mountains to beaches, city to country life, Cambodia has it all.
