I met Angelica back during my high school years but never really spoke until she joined me in college for her freshman year. I always enjoyed spending time at her house. It's not because we were able to have raving house parties but because her family is just the coolest. I really believe that amazing parents produce amazing children. Angelica's mother doesn't speak English as her first language while I do not speak any level of Spanish. Yet, we had a conversation about the plans I'll be embarking on this summer, how we have the same taste in coffee and the future she hopes for her daughter. The heart that she has caring for others is something felt beyond language barriers.
