Step 1: In a small French press, add three tablespoons of Vietnamese coffee. This is a bag of coffee that Iris purchased at her local supermarket’s blowout sale (25% off!). Add 1.5 cups of not-quite-boiling water and let steep for 5 minutes.
Step 2: Add one cup of milk (Iris opted for “real” Khmer milk, while Michelle chose the healthy soy alternative) to a saucepan. Combine with 1 tablespoon of pumpkin purée (includes pumpkin and Mandy’s secret ingredients) and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Warm on the stove until milk begins to simmer.
Step 4: Make sure to wash all dishes thoroughly because if you don’t, you might have a visit from ant friends.
